Ace Jewellery reports on your potential goldmine.
It can’t have escaped your attention in the news that the rising price of gold has been a major talking point for a number of years now. The good news for you however, is that the rise in gold prices represents an amazing opportunity!
An increasingly popular trend we’re seeing in our showroom in Leeds right now is the simple jewellery repair. The high cost of gold has meant for some time now that a 9ct gold chain, for example, that would have cost you £100 in 2007, would now cost you £400; a whopping 400% increase!
This is driving more and more of our customers to look again at their own broken or dull jewellery with fresh eyes. In these times of austerity, we haven’t fallen out of love with jewellery; we just find it increasingly expensive to treat ourselves to it. So repairing your jewellery is fast becoming the new way to dazzle, at a fraction of the cost.
With our years of experience as working Jewellers, we know that there’s very little that can’t be done to repair or liven up jewellery in our workshop. Take that 9ct gold chain we mentioned earlier for instance. A polish would generally cost £15, whilst a broken clasp would set you back around £30 to fix; a significant saving on the price as new.
So if you thought your old jewellery no longer has any value, take a fresh look at it; you could be sitting on a gold mine! Imagine being able to easily turn your broken or unwanted gold into cash. You can then take that cash, and with a little help from our Jewellery Designers, you can repair jewellery you want to keep, or re-model it into something new, as we discussed in an earlier blog.
The new spring season of fashion is out, so there’s never been a better time to spring clean your jewellery collection too. Take a look at our jewellery repairs page for some ideas about how you can spruce up your old jewellery. Your next step is to call into our showroom in Leeds city centre at 1 Lands Lane, or get in touch with us here.
